It is used to power logic cubes at random in order to produce random events.
Usage[edit | edit source]
A Randomizer has two orbs: one orange input orb and one blue output orb.
By default, a Randomizer will deactivate any logic cubes connected to it via its blue output orb if it is not connected to a power source via its orange input orb. However, once the Randomizer is connected to a power source, it will abide by the following rules:
- If all inputs are false (no power), then all outputs are false. The Randomizer will not power any cubes connected to its blue output orb.
- If any of the inputs are true (power), then one of the outputs is true. The Randomizer will randomly select one logic cube to power, and leave the rest of the connected cubes without power.
The Randomizer's "random" outputs are governed by a set seed of numbers. In actuality, its outputs are not entirely random and can be predicted after ample experimentation. This is partly due to the fact that the Randomizer uses Unity's script API. Nevertheless, the box is not considered predictable enough to warrant any changes in the near future.
